17th European Meeting on Ancient Ceramics (EMAC 2025) Bilbao

Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that the 17th European Meeting on Ancient Ceramics (EMAC 2025) will be hosted by the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in Bilbao, Spain, from September 8 to 12, 2025.
This conference is a key scientific forum for the interdisciplinary study of ancient ceramics, bringing together archaeologists, archaeometrists, and heritage scientists to advance research on ceramic production, technology, and conservation. EMAC 2025 will focus on methodologies for raw material provenance, sustainable conservation, experimental and ethnoarchaeometric approaches, and digital analyses, including AI, machine learning, and big data applications. A central theme will be the development and application of portable and non-destructive techniques for archaeometric studies, providing visions into ceramic traditions, production processes, and chronological frameworks.
